LaundryView is an Internet application that allows you
to monitor the status of washers and dryers in connected laundry
rooms through a Web browser. LaundryView was developed in response
to requests for greater control over laundry activities.
Since many people tend to do their laundry during similar
time periods, it results in busy laundry rooms. LaundryView's
mission is to help you save time by providing information
about the current state of laundry room equipment wherever you
have access to a browser or e-mail messages.
LaundryView was developed and is maintained by Mac-Gray Corporation, the premier laundry facilities contractor in North America,
providing service to more than 60,000 laundry rooms throughout
the United States.
About Mac-Gray Corporation
The Mac-Gray story begins in 1927 when H.S. Gray founded the
company by selling Maytag wringer washers door-to-door. Several
years later he led the coin laundry era by installing a coin
box on an ordinary washing machine. During the 1950's, Mac-Gray
began providing laundry services to colleges and multi-housing
communities.
As early as the 1980's, Mac-Gray introduced advanced European
washing machines into the U.S. commercial laundry market. These
machines were more water and energy efficient than current machines
on the market. In the 1990's, Mac-Gray again led the industry
by adapting Smart Card Technology to the commercial laundry
market. In 1997, Mac-Gray became a publicly traded company and
is listed as TUC on the NYSE.
